          Sermon:   Times When we will Need the Lord.
               Scripture:     Isa 40.

     1.   We will need the Lord when we are Weary (Isa 40:29-31).
               a.   What God gives.
               b.   Why He gives it.
               c.   How He gives it.

     2.   We will need the Lord when we are helpless and feel lost (Isa 40:11)
                    Four things God does for us
               a.   Tends us.
               b.   Gathers us.
               c.   Carries us.
               d.   Gently leads us.

     3.   We will need the Lord when we are fearful (Isa 41:10, 13)
          Why we do not need fear:
               a.   The Lord is With us.
               b.   He is Our God.
               c.   He will strengthen us and help us.
               d.   He will uphold us.

     4.   We will need the Lord when we are troubled (Isa 66:13) What kind of comfort will God
     give?  Mother
               a.   The comfort of a sympathetic heart.
               b.   The comfort of a forgiving heart.
               c.   The comfort of a caring heart

     5.   We will Need the Lord whatever state we are in (Isa 49:15, 16) From this verse notice:
